5th Easter without you Chango.  I miss you more and more each day.

They say the pain gets lesser and lesser but I say it gets worse.

I have my good days, and then the days when I can't stop the tears.

So many memories you left me Chango, I treasure with all my heart.

That's all I have for now, until that special day when God calls me

then we will never be apart.  I love you Chango.

You are now in Heaven my son there is nothing I can do.

But ask God to honor you in His own way,

and grant my one wish come true.

To have His choir of Angels sing "Happy Birthday to you".

Happy Birthday in Heaven my son

I dedicate this poem to you.

"If I could......"

If I could have a wish come true,

I’d look to the Heavens above, ask God and plead  to be with you,
If I could be with you and dance the whole night long,
We would be jamming together and we’d sing our favorite song.
If I could have you back for just a little while
The world would hear my laughter and see a gigantic smile.
If I could have you close and feel your pica face,
I’d hug you so tight just to feel your warm embrace.
If I could tell you in person, I miss and love you so,
I wouldn’t take for granted that you already know.
If I could scold you just one more time,
I know you’d give me that look, and say “ay ma” all is fine.
If I could catch a rainbow and give it all to you,
I’d make sure your world was always happy so you would never feel blue.
If I could take back the times I wasn’t there for you,
I’d never leave your sight I’d stick to you like glue.
If I could move the biggest mountain,
That being the impossible, but I know that I could be with you again,
If I could kiss you just one more time,
I’d wrap my arms around you as to never leave your sight.
If I could hear your voice and say, mom you look beautiful
Oh how I miss your daily calls, but most I miss you so
If I could have you scare me like you used to do,
I’d still pay you back like I always would.
 If I could turn back time and place you in my arms again,
I know I’d only be dreaming, because you’re now in Heaven.

But know my son; that I still love you and miss you more than anyone will ever know.

Today is my birthday,
Celebrate my life with you and remember the good times forget the bad.
Look up towards the sun and catch every ray of light upon your cheek.
For I am there with you.
Today is my birthday, be happy for me, my life was full.
I had the pleasure of love and the joy of my family.
Do not be sad, look up towards the stars and catch each twinkle in your heart.
For I am there with you.
Today is my birthday, my legacy is not wealth, or mighty belongings.
My legacy is you and your life, spend it wisely and carefully.
Guard it always, do not be sad.
Feel the wind on your face and in your hair, and know that I loved you.
For I am there with you in your laughter and in your hearts.
Today is my birthday.
Learn to live again without me.
Take my strength with you for you are not alone. Do not be sad.

Hi mijo, last night I was with my girlfriend Sylvia.  Al let her spend some time with me, we were having a few beers and laughing.  I was sharing with Sylvia some of the funny things you would do.  I told her that you were a pranskter.  Reminising about the times I would wait behind the door when you were comin in then I would jump out and scare you.  Then you would do the same to me, but because I was such a big baby I would get mad and tell you not to be doing that to me.  You'd say; "veras I'm gonna do the same thing to you, and I'd say veras cabron, I will spank you.  And you'd  laugh.

I told her that every year I'd decorate the house for each holiday, one of my special ones was Halloween.  I'd place spider webs around the coffee tables and around the house and decorate with all kinds of spiders and such.  The last Halloween, October 2004 one time when I was putting things away and you placed in spider in a bowl on top of the refrigerator.  When I went to get the bowl, the spider kinda fell on me and I screamed and your were laughing so hard.  You got me that time, lol.  I miss you scaring me.

Remember the time you and Araceli and Mercedes wanted to watch The Grudge and I said; "NO". because I don't like scary movies.  You all begged me that it wasn't scary and if I couldn't handle it we could change the movie.  I agreed, but I was on my nails with nerves, and you were all justing waiting to scare me.  And I said, if any of you scare me I'm turning off the tv.  You all said OK, you wouldn't do anything to me.    WOW, I made it through the entire movie, and I was scared as heck.  But at one point when I saw that one girl coming out of the vent sliding down the stairs I was like, stop this movie, and you all said, no it's not that scary.  So I kept on watching.  But all was quiet.  Whew, I made it...............

Then right after the movie I told Araceli to go with me upstairs so I can grab a funny movie (Home Alone)  because I needed to laugh.  Then when we were coming downstairs you were laying on the stairs and I screamed so loud, lol,  I thought it was the girl in the movie, you were all laughing so hard, and the girls said; "Good one Gabriel", cabron I couldn't believe you still got me.

The last funny thing was one week before your birhday we were prepping the house for your birthday party.  I had you come over to mow the lawn, but of course you wanted tacos.  So I was inside the kitchen cooking and you outside.  Then you yelled out; "Ma, come out here because there's a spider", and I said; "well kill it", and you said; "No ma, this is a BIG spider.  I went out side to see, and you being like 20 ft behind me laughing. "ma look at it", I couldn't believe this big tarantala looking spider, I had never seen one like this, and I took off my sandle and threw it on top of the spider, and it jumped.  You were lauging and I was screaming, and you're telling me; "kill it mama, kill it".  And I'm running.  lol 

Me and Sylvia laughed so much.  It's so nice to have a friend that I could share these moments with, she was the perfect person.

I will remember these memories for the rest of my life.  Boy do I miss these days. 

I miss you so much mijo, all I have no are the memories.  I will treasure them forever.  I love and miss you so much.
